Recently, the Voices of Women Museum held a series of Talks by Pralini Naidoo. Her interest in women's voices and in particular, a story on Pat - a Hindu woman who experienced abuse through domestic violence and who then tells her story. Pralini recently completed her Masters in Gender, Sexuality and Religion at the University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN) where she focussed on Pat's story. She also took a close look at whose story it was and who re-tells it. During this time, she was also conscious of 'owning' her own story. These sessions made for interesting and intimate discussions, which we hope to continue after this series.
